Are you one of those happy and expectant gamers that hopped into Amazon to get your hands on the new Xbox Series X as soon as possible? if so, I am afraid we have some bad news. Amazon just released a statement through twitter explaining that they are facing inventory complications.
If you managed to get a pre-order even through the hustle and bustle, gamers will have to wait a considerable amount of time before they can get their hands on the latest console by Microsoft. The delayed pre-orders are expected to arrive on the 31st of december 2020.
How bad is the Xbox Series X delay?
Emails have already been drafted out by the online retailer informing customers of the misfortune. Most expectant buyers will most likely see a delay of around 2 weeks post date due. It is hinted that some might have to wait till the end of the year. This is of course the worst case scenario, so fingers crossed. There have even been reports of people cancelling out their pre-orders through anger.
The lack of supply is not an issue that is limited to Amazon as online retailers from all corners of the globe have tweeted out the compromises their buyers might have to experience. Retail giants such a GameStop have capped out on the number of pre-orders available through their platform. Stocks getting labeled out as “ very limited “ have sparked frustration all around.
If you are a fan of the PS5 series, you are not entirely unaffected either. Just hours after Sony enabled pre-orders, the stocks were snatched up completely. There is still no sign of a second wave of pre-orders being available to buyers.
It is vital that you stay in sync with our news release if you are expecting an opportunity to snag a pre-order of a Xbox series X. The stocks are expected to arrive in a few weeks and it is important that you hop on the cart as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates.
